About The Position

The Morning Markdowns role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes customer service, checkout and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing and merchandising merchandise, and maintaining sales-floor recovery and store cleanliness. The associate supports a positive store culture, shrink-reduction and safety programs, and complies with labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
