About The Position

The Morning Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. The associate follows health and safety, operational, merchandising, and loss prevention policies and may be cross-trained in other store areas to support business needs. The position is at the HomeGoods store in Plano, Texas, with a starting pay range of $13.00–$13.50 per hour.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including maintaining and operating the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls and policies, including shrink reduction.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Clean using dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
