Morning Care/After Care Leader
About The Position
St. Pius X Catholic School in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking a dependable, energetic Morning Care and After-Care Aide to supervise and support students of various ages during the after-school program. The role provides homework help, academic intervention, and structured play in a safe, positive environment. The school is a small Catholic school committed to nurturing the whole child in a caring, faith-centered community. This position supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of the Diocese of Corpus Christi in professional and personal life. It is closely connected to and assists the Diocesan Bishop in the performance of his ministry. The aide is expected to model Gospel values, participate in religious ceremonies, training, and reflection activities as directed, and adhere to diocesan policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or tutoring setting.
- Patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine enjoyment of working with children.
- Ability to work with a range of ages and adapt to different learning needs.
- Willingness to support the mission of a Catholic school.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Successfully complete a criminal history background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.
- Complete Safe Environment training provided by the Office for Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources.
- Adhere to all diocesan policies and procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Some college or experience in education is preferred.
Responsibilities

- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Participate in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed.
- Supervise students and maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment.
- Assist students with homework and reinforce classroom learning.
- Provide small-group or one-on-one academic support and intervention as directed by teachers.
- Lead and supervise structured play, games, and enrichment activities.
- Communicate with teachers, staff, and parents about student needs and progress.
- Model kindness, respect, and Christian values in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
