About The Position

BASIS San Antonio Primary Medical Center is seeking a Monitor for an immediate start. The Monitor oversees students during school activities and programs, including lunches, recesses, parking duty, passing periods, and before- and after-school “Early Bird” and “Late Bird” programs. The role focuses on student safety and behavior, responding promptly to emergencies, and supporting the front office as applicable.

The position requires a high school diploma or higher and a valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or a satisfactory applicable state background check. Experience in a school or childcare environment is preferred. Salary is competitive and dependent on education and experience. BASIS Ed offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure their safety.
• Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before- and after-school programs.
• Report unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform the supervisor of damage to school property.
• Respond urgently to emergencies, such as injuries or food allergies.
• Exercise sound judgment while carrying out duties.
• Assist with front office support, as applicable.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students and/or groups during structured and unstructured times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
