About The Position

BASIS Richardson is seeking a Monitor to oversee student activities and help ensure students’ safety. Activities include lunches, recesses, parking duty, passing periods, and the “Early Bird” and “Late Bird” school programs. The Monitor may also provide front office support and supervise individual students or groups during structured and unstructured times. The position requires regular, full, predictable attendance, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check.
• High school diploma or higher.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure their safety.
• Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before- and after-school programs.
• Report unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform a supervisor of damage to school property.
• Respond urgently to emergencies, including injuries or food allergies.
• Exercise sound judgment while carrying out duties.
• Assist with front office support, as applicable.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students and/or groups during structured and unstructured times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
