About The Position
BASIS San Antonio Jack Lewis Jr. is seeking a Monitor to oversee student activities and help ensure student safety. The role includes supervising students during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before- and after-school programs, including “Early Bird” and “Late Bird.” The Monitor may also assist with front office support as applicable and perform other assigned duties. The position requires a high school diploma or higher and a valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or a satisfactory applicable state background check. Experience in a school or childcare environment is preferred. Salary is competitive and depends on education and experience.

Responsibilities
- Monitor students to ensure their safety.
- Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before- and after-school programs.
- Report unruly behavior to school management.
- Inform a supervisor of damage to school property.
- Respond urgently to emergencies, including injuries and food allergies.
- Exercise sound judgment while carrying out duties.
- Assist with front office support, as applicable.
- Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
- Supervise individual students and/or groups during structured and unstructured times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
