About The Position

BASIS Austin is seeking a Monitor to supervise students and help ensure their safety during school activities and programs. The role includes monitoring lunches, recesses, passing periods, parking duty, and before- and after-school “Early Bird” and “Late Bird” programs. The Monitor may also provide front office support as applicable and perform other assigned duties. The position requires a high school diploma or higher and a valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or a satisfactory applicable state background check. Experience in a school or childcare environment is preferred. Salary is competitive and depends on education and experience. Requirements

Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check.
High school diploma or higher.

Responsibilities

Monitor students to ensure their safety.
Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before- and after-school activities.
Report unruly behavior to school management.
Inform a supervisor about damage to school property.
Respond urgently to emergencies, including injuries and food allergies.
Use sound judgment when carrying out duties.
Assist with front office support, as applicable.
Maintain regular, full, and predictable attendance.
Supervise individual students and/or groups during structured and unstructured times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
