The Monitor Technician is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the Emergency Department. The role monitors cardiac rhythms using direct cardiac monitors and meets the department’s communication needs. In the absence of CPOE and an EMR clinical documentation system, the technician transcribes physician orders. The technician also verifies that laboratory and radiology tests have been ordered and completed, prepares and compiles Emergency Department records, orders unit supplies, and prepares and completes each patient’s chart with the necessary daily forms. The technician may assist nursing staff with indirect patient-care duties provided this does not distract from the primary responsibility of dysrhythmia monitoring. This is a full-time, day-shift position at Chino Valley Medical Center. The stated compensation estimate is $23.00; exact starting compensation is determined during hiring based on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
