About The Position

The Monitor Technician interprets cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias, maintains telemetry supplies, and maintains patient records according to hospital policy. The role communicates effectively with staff, supervisors, ancillary departments, and other customers; maintains a neat and organized workplace; acquires and maintains accurate knowledge of hospital and unit information; and operates computer systems as necessary.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of basic rhythms and arrhythmias is required.
• Completion of a basic EKG/Arrhythmia course.
• Successful completion of the Monitor Tech examination.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a CMT/Cardiac Tech or Monitor Technician is preferred.
