About The Position
The Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary provides secretarial and administrative support to the nursing unit and assists nurses with monitoring cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry team. The role supports nursing staff through timely communication and documentation, maintains patient confidentiality, and follows hospital policies. Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of an EKG/Dysrhythmia course or equivalent experience.
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification upon hire.
- ABM/MAB/CPI certification within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare or monitoring experience.
