About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a part-time Monitor Tech for its Central Monitoring Unit. This night-shift position is scheduled for 12 hours weekly, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The Monitor Tech assists nurses in administering patient care by continuously observing cardiac monitors, recognizing and documenting cardiac arrhythmias, and promptly reporting findings to the appropriate nurse and telemetry equipment manager.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a hospital dysrhythmia course upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Continuously observe cardiac monitors.
- Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and document them on strips.
- Promptly report cardiac arrhythmias to the appropriate nurse and telemetry equipment manager.
- Assist nurses in the administration of patient care.
