About The Position

The Monitor Tech is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the department setting and monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors. The role supports department communication, transcribes physician orders when CPOE and the EMR clinical documentation system are unavailable, and verifies that laboratory and radiology tests have been ordered and completed. The Monitor Tech prepares and completes emergency-room records and patient charts, ensures required forms are available, and orders unit supplies.
