Monitor Tech
About The Position
The Monitor Tech monitors patients’ heart performance and identifies abnormalities such as irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest. The role supports patients and healthcare providers by interpreting test results and reporting them to healthcare personnel. Monitor Techs routinely monitor patients, review patient charts, and send charts to medical records after discharge. They interact daily with patients and other healthcare personnel. Accuracy and timeliness are essential, including transcribing physician orders and alerting nursing staff to STAT and NOW orders.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Successful completion of an arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing.

- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ heart performance and identify abnormalities, including irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest.
- Interpret test results and report them to healthcare personnel.
