Precise Systems is seeking candidates with at least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience and the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other team members. You should be able to plan and execute assigned tasks, organize and analyze data, provide preliminary interpretation of your results, and contribute to writing reports and the design of follow-up experiments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a molecular biology or biochemistry laboratory setting.
  • Proven proficiency in PCR, DNA/RNA extraction and purification, and basic nucleic acid analysis.
  • Experience in handling and analyzing RNA and DNA samples.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other research teams
  • Ability to assist with other duties as assigned
  • Ability to complete additional training as assigned
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the execution of chemical and biological defense projects involving biochemistry and synthetic biology
  • Execute molecular biology techniques, including PCR / qPCR, SELEX, DNA/RNA/plasmid extraction and purification, protein expression and purification, and analyses of proteins and nucleic acids
  • Provide general support for research programs, supporting not only laboratory execution but also analysis of experimental data and support to experimental design
  • Read and refer to scientific literature to troubleshoot technical issues and identify opportunities to improve experimental designs and strategie
  • Learn new techniques as a part of research support, including reproducing methods from the scientific literature: a demonstrated track record of continued skill acquisition in the workplace is expected.
