About The Position

Altamira Material Solutions, an Evantic company, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Molder to fabricate preformed and molded parts. This is an opportunity to enter manufacturing, learn specialized equipment and processes, and develop manufacturing skills as part of a team. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required; mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are important. The role includes loading molds with materials, operating equipment according to established procedures, checking products against dimensional specifications, maintaining tools and equipment, and keeping work areas and records in order. Requirements

• Accredited high school diploma or GED required.
• Attention to detail when preparing materials, monitoring settings, and inspecting parts.
• Mechanical aptitude to understand equipment and recognize when it needs attention.
• Teamwork and communication skills, including sharing information, asking questions, and cooperating with others.
• Dependability, including reliable attendance and follow-through on assignments.
• Willingness to take direction, learn processes, and adapt to production needs.
• Ability to handle objects, tools, or controls with the hands; reach overhead; and work in positions including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment and to frequently lift or move 35 pounds throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Load molds with the proper materials and operate equipment according to established procedures to fabricate preformed parts.
• Use measuring devices and perform operations to ensure finished products conform to dimensional specifications.
• Properly use the tools and equipment needed to produce molded products in accordance with engineering standards.
• Clean equipment and molds after operations have been performed.
• Ensure tools are in good operating condition when placing them in storage.
• Operate a forklift truck, hoist, or crane.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and accurate records and job history.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
