About The Position

The Wax Molder produces wax patterns, chills, gates, and solubles while meeting acceptable productivity and quality levels. The role also processes and moves raw materials and new or reworked tools, and produces molding work instructions. The Wax Molder operates wax press machinery and related equipment, inspects patterns and tooling, handles operational documentation, and performs cleaning and maintenance tasks. Work may include operating leach tanks and using a forklift, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices. The position requires adherence to plant and department safety rules.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to learn and follow safety policies and procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work with hands and good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and properly.

Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate wax press machinery, equipment, and related tooling safely and efficiently.
Clean, handle, and store wax molding tooling properly.
Read and follow the setup techniques and instructions associated with each tool.
Clean the molding area and equipment.
Inspect wax patterns against acceptable quality criteria.
Complete daily paperwork and forms associated with molding operations.
Identify and document tooling damage and operational issues.
Process paperwork and move tools into and out of the department as required.
Set up and inspect new and reworked tooling.
Receive and inspect raw materials.
Perform leach tank operations as needed, safely and efficiently.
Perform monthly maintenance duties.
Write work instructions for molding operations.
Follow plant and department safety rules and regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
