About The Position

Under general supervision, the Molder (No-Bake) releases molds from patterns, cleans and paints molds, makes mold gatings, and performs related duties as assigned. The position reports to the Department Supervisor. Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in accordance with company policies are essential. The employee must comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to support safe and effective operations.

Requirements

Some experience operating molding equipment is required.
Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written directions and work orders.
Ability to use basic measuring tools.
Ability to use hand tools and small power tools, including an air gun and grinder.
Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
Knowledge of hazardous materials risks and emergency response procedures.
Ability to operate a forklift and hoist.
Appropriate company certification to operate a forklift.
Ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, reach, stretch, lift, and carry weights, parts, and materials weighing 50 pounds or less; and move heavier objects with assistance from co-workers or mechanical devices.
Ability to use required safety gear, including glasses, bump cap or helmet, back support, shoes, and mask as required for the job.
Ability to walk and move about on uneven or sand-covered surfaces.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job; reasonable accommodations are provided upon request.

Responsibilities

Receive molds on roller conveyors.
Release molds from patterns.
Clean molds with an air gun.
Perform air-set molding, working simultaneously on multiple molds while previous molds air dry.
Paint molds with painting mix.
Make and cut gatings and risers.
Close molds.
Operate a forklift as required.
Use a grinder to open risers.
Operate a hoist for cleaning and painting work.
Maintain punctuality and attendance, and report absences in accordance with company policies.
Comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
