About The Position

M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, equipment reliability, and preventative maintenance are essential to supporting efficient production operations. The Mold Shop PM Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and repair of precision molds used in plastic injection molding operations. This role disassembles and assembles molds, identifies wear or damaged components, performs routine maintenance and minor repairs, and helps ensure molds remain in proper working condition to support reliable production.

Requirements

• Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision components
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow preventative maintenance procedures and work instructions
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety, GMP, PRP, HACCP, and food-contact materials as they relate to food-safe packaging in applicable facilities
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience with molds, tooling, preventative maintenance, or mechanical repair preferred

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on injection molds in accordance with established maintenance schedules and procedures
• Disassembles and assembles molds for cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and repair
• Inspects and cleans molds to ensure proper working condition
• Lubricates mold and die components and inspects components for wear, damage, or potential issues
• Performs minor repairs and assists with the replacement of damaged or worn mold components as needed
• Identifies mold issues and reports concerns requiring additional repair or technical support
• Maintains accurate preventative maintenance logs and documentation
• Assists with mold changeovers and production setup as needed
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles
• Performs other duties as assigned
