About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Injection Molding Technician to join a global leader in engineered plastics. This position is responsible for operating, setting up, and optimizing injection molding machines and processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Technician will support production, process development, tooling, and maintenance activities while helping maximize machine uptime and product quality.

Requirements

Previous experience in injection molding, process development, or plastics manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, processes, and automation.
Experience developing and optimizing injection molding processes and parameters.
Experience with industrial robots, including six-axis and linear systems.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, process, tooling, and equipment issues.
Knowledge of quality requirements for automotive interior components preferred.
Good computer skills and ability to create and maintain production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.
Reliable and consistent attendance with a positive, professional attitude.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate injection molding machines, molds, robots, and material handling systems.
Develop, set, monitor, and optimize machine and process parameters, including temperature, pressure, injection, and cycle times.
Install and remove injection molds using industrial cranes in accordance with safety procedures.
Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, sampling, and process changes.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine, tooling, and process issues to maximize machine uptime.
Perform minor mold/tool repairs, adjustments, polishing, and cleaning as needed.
Develop and optimize robot and automation processes, including six-axis and linear systems.
Conduct functional testing of machines, tools, handling equipment, and related systems.
Monitor process parameters and implement corrective actions when required.
Create and maintain production and process documentation.
Support the development of injection molding processes from initial tooling through series production.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, housekeeping, and production standards.
Participate in production meetings and provide technical input on process and equipment issues.
Train employees on applicable processes, equipment, and work instructions.
Operate and monitor material distribution systems.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
