About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Injection Molding Technician to join a global leader in engineered plastics. This position is responsible for operating, setting up, and optimizing injection molding machines and processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Technician will support production, process development, tooling, and maintenance activities while helping maximize machine uptime and product quality.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in injection molding, process development, or plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, processes, and automation.
  • Experience developing and optimizing injection molding processes and parameters.
  • Experience with industrial robots, including six-axis and linear systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, process, tooling, and equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of quality requirements for automotive interior components preferred.
  • Good computer skills and ability to create and maintain production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate injection molding machines, molds, robots, and material handling systems.
  • Develop, set, monitor, and optimize machine and process parameters, including temperature, pressure, injection, and cycle times.
  • Install and remove injection molds using industrial cranes in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, sampling, and process changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine, tooling, and process issues to maximize machine uptime.
  • Perform minor mold/tool repairs, adjustments, polishing, and cleaning as needed.
  • Develop and optimize robot and automation processes, including six-axis and linear systems.
  • Conduct functional testing of machines, tools, handling equipment, and related systems.
  • Monitor process parameters and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Create and maintain production and process documentation.
  • Support the development of injection molding processes from initial tooling through series production.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, housekeeping, and production standards.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide technical input on process and equipment issues.
  • Train employees on applicable processes, equipment, and work instructions.
  • Operate and monitor material distribution systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
