The position requires the ability to restore and maintain proper mold geometry for proper part specifications. As part of mold maintenance, you will be responsible for the proper application of the mold release interface, where liquid chemicals are used and require use of nitrile gloves. You will be working with rubbing/polishing compounds while using a pneumatic polisher. The molds used to produce parts are a gel-coat finish. Prior or current experience working with gel coats is a plus, but the company is willing to train the proper applicant. The work environment is fast-paced and does require the ability to multi-task. Good communication with the production crew to identify mold issues and a plan maintenance schedule is critical. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision once training is completed. Candidates with prior experience in the fiberglass reinforced plastics industry are encouraged to apply.
