About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Mohs Tech to support its dermatology practice. The Mohs Histotech prepares tissue specimens for microscopic examination and diagnostic interpretation, determines appropriate protocols, procedures, and quality-control measures, and consistently follows those guidelines. This is a traveling position involving assignments at different locations, with occasional weekend work required. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and coverslipping.
• Accession specimens.
• Cut control slides.
• Match slides with requisitions and double-check accuracy.
• Perform troubleshooting and quality-control tasks as required.
• Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned by management.
