About The Position

Join the Dermatology team as a Mohs Surgical Assistant (MA-C)! This role is crucial in supporting our Mohs procedures and ensuring the smooth day-to-day flow of dermatology patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining sterile instruments and supplies, providing direct assistance during surgical procedures and wound closures, and aiding in laboratory processing of specimens. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent attendance, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

Active Medical Assistant-Certified credential from Washington State Department of Health
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization practices.
Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial.
Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues.

Nice To Haves

Dermatology experience, preferred.
Two years of experience in an outpatient surgery center, Mohs dermatology practice, or office-based surgery department preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure that instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and available as needed.
Provide hands-on assisting with Mohs procedures and wound closures/repairs.
Assist with lab/pathology processing of Mohs specimens.
Assist the dermatology providers in day-to-day dermatology patient flow.
