About The Position

Frontier Dermatology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Mohs Surgery team. This role involves caring for patients undergoing skin cancer surgery, assisting the Mohs Surgeon, providing patient education, and performing daily patient tasks. The Medical Assistant will also gain experience assisting in general dermatology on non-surgical days. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced surgical setting, possess exceptional customer service skills, and be highly organized and detail-oriented.

Requirements

• Must be Certified as a Medical Assistant through the WA State Department of Health
• HS Diploma, GED
• 1-3 months related healthcare experience or trade school equivalent
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Highly organized
• Very detail oriented

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a surgical setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Rooming and caring for patients for the duration of their surgery
• Assisting the Mohs Surgeon
• Patient education
• Performing daily patient tasks
• Assisting in general dermatology on non-surgical days
