About The Position

Join the Dermatology team as a Mohs Surgical Assistant (MA-C)! This role is crucial for ensuring instruments and supplies are ready for Mohs procedures, providing direct assistance during these procedures and wound closures/repairs, and aiding in the lab/pathology processing of specimens. The Mohs assistant will also support dermatology providers in daily patient flow.

Requirements

Active Medical Assistant-Certified credential from Washington State Department of Health
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization practices.
Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial.
Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues.

Nice To Haves

Dermatology experience, preferred.
Two years of experience in an outpatient surgery center, Mohs dermatology practice, or office-based surgery department preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and available as needed.
Provide hands-on assisting with Mohs procedures and wound closures/repairs.
Assist with lab/pathology processing of Mohs specimens.
Assist dermatology providers in day-to-day dermatology patient flow.
