Principal / Sr Principal Modeling Simulation Systems Engineer - 18976

Northrop Grumman•Roy, UT
•$98,400 - $184,200•Onsite

About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Principal or Sr Principal Modeling Simulation Systems Engineer in Roy, Utah, to support the Sentinel Program. The program supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The selected engineer will join a team modeling high-level Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Cost (RAM-C) processes across multiple campuses. The primary focus is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) modeling and strategy selection for a large missile system, with opportunities to contribute to other reliability modeling and analysis efforts. The RCM team uses failure modes to model possible maintenance strategies and select the strategy best suited to the overall weapon system. Experience modeling large systems and identifying useful data and trends in large datasets is valuable; maintenance or logistics experience can support communication with stakeholders. The role develops and integrates system simulation frameworks, models, and algorithms; simulates system behavior and real-time operations; develops visualization tools and graphical interfaces; models operational environments; conducts simulation-based trade studies; and performs operational and mission effectiveness analyses. The standard schedule is 9/80, with every other Friday off. Relocation assistance may be available. An active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance is required at application, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval.
