About The Position

American Products is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead its Mod Assembly team on the second shift. The supervisor will support team members and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee development on the production floor. The role is responsible for meeting production goals, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, at American Products in Strafford, Missouri.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience is required; team lead experience is considered.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and employee development skills.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to support the team where needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe boots.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members in a safe and productive work environment.
• Ensure daily production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures.

• Monitor workflow and address staffing, equipment, and material needs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper labor reporting.
• Manage attendance, scheduling, timecards, and employee performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste using lean manufacturing principles.
• Foster a positive team culture based on collaboration, accountability, and a 'whatever it takes' attitude.
