About The Position

As part of the Global Project team at River Valley Church, the Mobilization Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the vision to send 500 missionaries. This role is both administrative and relational in nature - providing operational support for the Missionary Action Plan (MAP) while also walking closely with individuals exploring or pursuing a call to cross-cultural missions. The Mobilization Coordinator takes initiative to plan, organize, and manage tasks that help future missionaries move from calling to commissioning.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and follow through with limited direction
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Strong relational skills with the ability to build trust across teams and partners
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, offer insight, and improve processes (not just execute tasks)
  • Comfortable facilitating multiple environments including casual conversations, one-on-one meetings, and group environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A heart for missions and alignment with Kingdom Builders / global missions vision
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in administrative support, event planning, project management, or other related experience.
  • A clear understanding of River Valley’s DNA, a passion for missions and experience on at least one Global Team.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience serving in long-term missions or cross-cultural ministry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and execute MAP-related events, including cohorts, social gatherings and local evangelism opportunities
  • Manage and track the transitions of the 500 - on field, itinerating, approved, retired, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records for MAP and 500 in the department’s management system
  • Manage The 500 email inbox
  • Secure, schedule, and create itineraries for MAP cohort speakers
  • Assist in building and maintaining phase-specific MAP cohorts in partnership with Global Project leadership
  • Track monthly mobilization metrics
  • Work in collaboration with other internal departments and campus leaders related to mobilization updates, project tasks.
  • Help plan and implement department-wide initiatives related to the MAP and The 500
  • Build relationships with individuals in the Missionary Action Plan, offering encouragement, guidance, and resources throughout their journey
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact (along with Global Project leadership) for those discerning or preparing for cross-cultural missions
  • Help individuals understand and navigate the MAP process with clarity and care
  • Help foster a culture of spiritual encouragement, ownership, and readiness among MAP participants
  • Continue to support, pray for and encourage those in The 500 once they are on the mission field
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
