The role provides staff support for key committees and commissions, manages mobility-related data, and oversees a sidewalk development program. It also involves researching and developing strategies for mobility development, reviewing relevant legislation, analyzing transportation systems, and making recommendations for policies and projects. The Mobility Planner serves as a technical expert, particularly for transit-oriented development, and collaborates on funding applications and transportation planning studies. The position ensures mobility planning goals align with resilience, sustainability, and land use plans, and represents the City in intergovernmental activities. Responsibilities include preparing reports, managing consultants, conducting outreach, and responding to citizen inquiries.
