Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring an in-home Associate Veterinarian serving Hartford, New Haven, Bristol, Southington, West Hartford, Wallingford, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. The mobile veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role offers flexible schedules, typically 2–5 days per week, with an average of 3–4 unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The position is veterinarian-founded and emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal well-being, and a supportive culture. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Candidates must undergo a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
