Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time Mobile Veterinarian serving Lakeland, Florida, including Davenport, Plant City, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Haines City, and surrounding areas. Lap of Love is veterinarian-founded and owned and offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, focused on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role provides an opportunity to practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities for two to five days per week. Veterinarians average three to four appointments per day, allowing time to support families and reduce paperwork. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in clients’ homes.
- Practice independently while staying connected to Lap of Love’s veterinary and support community.
- Work some weekends.
