About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving San Jose, California, including Santa Clara, Morgan Hill, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules and an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time for families and less paperwork. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $117,500, and five-day positions offer a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation. The role includes a guaranteed base salary with no negative accrual.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Conduct mobile veterinary appointments in clients’ homes across the listed service area.
