About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an in-home Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Huntsville, Big Cove, New Hope, Madison, Decatur, Athens, Alabama, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules and an average of three to four unrushed appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Full-time opportunities are available on three-, four-, and five-day schedules; part-time three-day opportunities are also available. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $85,000, while five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
