About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring an in-home Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Fruit Cove, Orange Park, Ponte Vedra Beach, Atlantic Beach, Saint Johns, Florida, and surrounding areas. This veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with an emphasis on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a supportive culture of kindness. The veterinarian will practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with ongoing training, seasoned mentors, dedicated practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities ranging from two to five days per week. The typical day includes an average of three to four un-rushed appointments, allowing more time with families and less paperwork. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates will be subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
