About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Atlanta, Georgia, including Decatur, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Mableton, South Fulton, and surrounding areas. Veterinarian-founded and owned, Lap of Love offers an alternative to in-clinic practice focused on professional fulfillment and personal freedom. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week. The role averages three to four unhurried appointments per day, allowing more time with families and less paperwork. Veterinarians work independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, dedicated practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $107,500, while five-day positions offer a $130,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
