About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care to pets and their families in Savannah, Richmond Hill, Pooler, Guyton, Rincon, Bloomingdale, Georgia, and surrounding areas. This veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with an emphasis on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a supportive culture. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time for families and less paperwork. Veterinarians work independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, experienced leaders available for guidance, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $40,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Candidates must hold a DVM, VMD, or BVMS degree, have a valid U.S. driver's license, be available to work some weekends, and meet the stated lifting requirements. Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes.
Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day.
Practice independently while remaining connected to the Lap of Love support community.
