Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in the San Francisco North Bay, including Vacaville, Fairfield, Vallejo, Benicia, Napa, Concord, Novato, Santa Rosa, and surrounding areas. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week. The role averages three to four un-rushed appointments per day, allowing time with families and less paperwork. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $135,000, and five-day positions offer a $150,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day.
