About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time Mobile Veterinarian serving San Francisco North Bay, California, including Vacaville, Fairfield, Vallejo, Benicia, Napa, Concord, Novato, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, supporting families during meaningful end-of-life moments. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for a two-day-per-week schedule, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. The position requires some weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Candidates are subject to background and motor vehicle record checks after hire and before their associated start date.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Successful completion of post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
