About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian in Ventura, California, serving areas including Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, and surrounding communities. In this veterinarian-founded and owned organization, the veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role offers flexible schedules, typically with 3–4 unhurried appointments per day, and the opportunity to practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, experienced leaders, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities are available, as well as part-time opportunities. Compensation depends on schedule structure: four-day positions start at $117,500, and five-day positions offer a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time positions offer prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
