About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving San Mateo, California, including San Francisco, Redwood City, Woodside, El Granada, Daly City, and surrounding areas. The role provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. Veterinarians typically have an average of 3–4 appointments per day, with time for unrushed visits and less paperwork, and practice independently while remaining connected to the organization’s veterinary and support community. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work 2–5 days per week. The listed 2-day-per-week opportunity offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules are available upon request. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, experienced leaders available for guidance, and a 24/7/365 Support Center.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
