Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Pensacola, Florida, including Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Cantonment, Gonzalez, Bellview, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, offering unhurried appointments during meaningful and difficult moments. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available on a two-day-per-week schedule with a guaranteed annual base salary of $40,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a post-hire background check and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Conduct an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day.
- Practice independently while using available mentorship, leadership, and support resources.
