Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving St. Augustine, Fruit Cove, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Green Cove Springs, Florida, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes, offering an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians receive comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center while practicing independently. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week with a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) degree.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must complete a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Travel to clients’ homes in the assigned service areas to provide veterinary care.
