Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Melbourne, Florida, including Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Rockledge, Titusville, Merritt Island, and surrounding areas. The role provides compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are flexible, ranging from two to five days per week. The posting describes an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time with families and less paperwork. Part-time opportunities at two days per week offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request. Additional benefits are available to full-time team members.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must undergo a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day.
