Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in the San Francisco North Bay, including Vacaville, Fairfield, Vallejo, Benicia, Napa, Concord, Novato, Santa Rosa, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules, an average of three to four appointments per day, and time to focus on families rather than paperwork. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities are available, as well as part-time opportunities. Compensation depends on schedule: four-day positions start at $135,000, and five-day positions offer a $150,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must undergo a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in clients’ homes.
- Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time to support families and provide care.
