About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring an in-home Associate Veterinarian to serve the Tri Valley, California area, including Fremont, Union City, Newark, Pleasanton, San Jose, Milpitas, and surrounding communities. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules, typically with three to five workdays per week, and an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians receive onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center while practicing independently. Full-time opportunities are available on three-, four-, and five-day schedules, as well as part-time opportunities. Compensation depends on schedule: four-day positions start at $117,500, five-day positions offer a $140,000 base salary, and three-day compensation is prorated. Additional bonus opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Candidates must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
