About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring an in-home Associate Veterinarian serving San Fernando, Burbank, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Stevenson Ranch, California, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules and an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are also available, with compensation details provided upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home veterinary hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Attend an average of three to four appointments per day.
