About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Melbourne, Florida, including Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Rockledge, Titusville, Merritt Island, and surrounding areas. The role provides compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. The position offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week. A two-day-per-week opportunity has a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. The typical daily schedule includes an average of three to four unhurried appointments, allowing more time with families and less paperwork. Some weekend availability is required.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
