About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Melbourne, Florida, including Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Rockledge, Titusville, Merritt Island, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities, as well as part-time opportunities, are available. Four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Attend mobile appointments in Melbourne, Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Rockledge, Titusville, Merritt Island, and surrounding areas.
- Work some weekends.
