About The Position

The Mobile Unit Driver is responsible for the safe transportation, setup, and operational readiness of the organization’s mobile outpatient healthcare unit. This position supports the delivery of clinical services across multiple community sites in metro Atlanta while ensuring compliance with all safety, regulatory, and organizational standards. When the mobile unit is not deployed, the Mobile Unit Driver will serve as an integral member of the operations team, assisting with logistical coordination and facility-related tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license (Georgia) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ operating large vans, box trucks, or similar non‑CDL vehicles.
  • Ability to pass background check and motor vehicle record screening.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required for operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the mobile healthcare unit safely and in compliance with Georgia traffic laws and organizational policies.
  • Transport clinical staff, equipment, and supplies to scheduled service locations.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely arrival at service sites.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and immediately report mechanical issues to Operations Management and Human Resources (HR) when safety or incident documentation is required.
  • Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, systems, cleanliness).
  • Maintain detailed logs of mileage, fuel use, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the mobile unit meets all safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate routine servicing and repairs with approved vendors, keeping Operations Management and HR informed of any issues that may affect deployment or compliance.
  • Position and stabilize the mobile unit safely at service locations.
  • Assist with setup of equipment, signage, and operational components.
  • Ensure the mobile clinic is clean, organized, and properly stocked before patient care begins.
  • Support breakdown and secure all equipment after each session.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, site partners, and operations leadership to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Communicate proactively regarding scheduling changes, delays, safety concerns, or logistical challenges.
  • Always represent the organization professionally when interacting with community partners and patients.
  • Assist operations with inventory management, including stocking medical and office supplies.
  • Support facility operations through minor maintenance, organization, and logistics tasks.
  • Help coordinate mobile unit schedules, site readiness, and deployment planning.
  • Participate in internal projects or operational initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support safe, compliant, and efficient clinic operations.
  • Provide general operational assistance such as organizing storage areas, helping with supply deliveries, performing minor facility upkeep, and supporting basic logistics tasks.
  • Help coordinate mobile unit schedules and site readiness and participate in internal projects or operational initiatives as assigned.
