The Mobile Phlebotomist will drive their personal vehicle to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, as directed by the company dispatcher or assigned Area Phlebotomy Supervisor/Area Lead. This role involves following established phlebotomy procedures for obtaining blood samples, ensuring proper patient identification, and accurately labeling and preparing specimens for transport. The phlebotomist will also be responsible for adhering to policies regarding the transportation of Protected Health Information (PHI), planning efficient draw schedules, and maintaining accurate records. Collaboration with various departments, equipment maintenance, and prompt communication via a company-issued mobile device are also key aspects of this position. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professional relationships with clients, patients, and staff.
