Mobile Phlebotomist
About The Position
Work directly with Metro Health’s patient care operations to perform in-home blood draws. This PRN, as-needed independent contractor role offers flexible, on-demand work: you set and update your availability, receive offers for draws requested in your surrounding area, and decide whether to accept each offer. There are no set shifts, minimum or maximum hours, or guaranteed number of draws. Patient demand is concentrated on weekday mornings and early afternoons, with little to no demand for evening, weekend, or holiday draws. Pay is $50 per completed draw, plus mileage compensation when applicable. The role may suit someone seeking supplemental income alongside another job, school, or family commitments.
Requirements
- Hold an active phlebotomy certification.
- Have at least six months of current, relevant work experience, in addition to instructional hours completed while obtaining certification.
- Have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Be fluent in English.
- Have a smartphone with internet access.
Responsibilities
- Set and update availability by uploading open time slots to the calendar.
- Review notifications and offer details for patient requests in the surrounding area.
- Choose whether to accept or decline each offered draw.
- Complete accepted in-home blood draws.
